Wedding Day Assistant Coordinator
Job Description: Here at Beautiful Bride Events, we believe in the benefits of partnership. For this reason, we always provide a Lead Coordinator and at least one Assistant Coordinator at each of our events.
The role of the Assistant Coordinator is to support the Lead Coordinator throughout the wedding day. Tasks are extremely varied and depend on the particulars of the event. Assistant Coordinators may be called upon to distribute personal flowers, set up/tear down equipment and/or decorations, greet vendors, cue musicians, allocate final payments/gratuities, attend to guest, vendor, and wedding party questions, and troubleshoot as needed. The Assistant Coordinator is also in charge of closing out the event at the end of the night. The Lead Coordinator is in charge of planning the Assistant Coordinator's shift and will assign tasks as needed throughout the day. The Lead Coordinator will also present the Assistant Coordinator with a specific Close-Out Checklist before departing for the night and will be available by cell phone to answer any follow-up questions.
Wedding Day Assistant Coordinators generally work a small handful of events throughout the season. Typically, Assistant Coordinators are scheduled on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays. Shifts last for 8 hours on average and generally end between 11:00 pm - 12:30 am. However, this is Wedding World (which is anything but typical!) so Assistant Coordinators must be prepared for varied schedules. Scheduling is determined by the company owner based on specific needs. Assistant Coordinators can expect to work as few as 2 events to as many as 15 events throughout the Spring - Summer season (April through October) and must be available for on-call shifts, as well. The Assistant Coordinator positions are INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS positions. Compensation is $15/hour.
This position does offer opportunity for growth. Each of our Lead Coordinators began their experience with Beautiful Bride Events as Wedding Day Assistant Coordinators. If, at the end of the spring-summer season, it appears beneficial for both the company and the contractor to look into other opportunities within the company, these options will be discussed at that time.
Requirements:Experience with event planning is a plus, though not a requirement. Experience in customer service is required. In addition, candidates must be:
