On February 21st wedding planner Tassia Davis with Beautiful Bride Events was a guest on Lowcountry Live at ABC News 4 to present some of 2017 wedding trends. The talented florist Ann Cunniffe with Purple Magnolia Floral Design was also there to talk about what we will see this year regarding floral. Ann says that loose and airy arrangements, lots of greenery are trending. Tassia also highlights acrylic signage instead of chalkboards, metallic tones, and beautiful calligraphy are some of those trending items we will be seeing throughout the year.

Megan and David are such great people. They are from California and had chosen Charleston as their wedding destination. They are what I call a "down the earth" couple. Being their wedding coordinator was a truly joy. We assisted both of them referring vendors, suggesting decor and styling for their ceremony and reception, and designing a floor plan and timeline. We also coordinated their rehearsal and were present on the wedding day to coordinate vendors, timeline, set up and break down of all services, and assist the wedding party and guests with any needs. From the months we were in constant communication, I can tell Megan and David are not only beautiful people on the outside but specially on the inside. It was such a privilege to be part of their beautiful wedding and we are thankful for their trust in Beautiful Bride Events. Our last Fall wedding could not be more special. Nina and Ray have one of those inspirational stories. They are from the same hometown in Taiwan but only met each other in South Carolina a couple years ago. They are one of the sweetest couples I have ever worked with. Their families brought customary wedding favors, boxes filled with Taiwan candies, which shows gratitude. It was a happy day and the pictures by Chelsea Paige Photography reflects exactly that.

So much happened between the day I first met Leticia and Robert until their Wedding Reception day. They first had an intimate ceremony at a gazebo in September last year. Then another surprise ceremony in July 2016 in Punta Cana, in the meantime they moved to Charleston and had their reception for 200 guests this past September 10th - my birthday by the way. Leticia contacted us interested in having a professional to plan her wedding reception. She had already selected Alhambra Hall in Mount Pleasant as their venue and their photographer Taylor Rae Photography. We started breaking down their budget into categories and then contacting, attending appointments, and booking the remaining vendors. Leticia was decided on the color scheme, which were coral, ivory, and gold. Their reception turned out beautifully. I could't spend a better birthday other than celebrating this amazing couple's love.

Rachel and Sutton came from Savannah, GA, and chose Charleston to celebrate their love on September 3rd, 2016. Sutton is an Alumni of The Citadel. I met Rachel several months before their wedding and her sweet personality stood out. Their ceremony took place the The Citadel Summerall Chapel and reception at the Holiday Alumni Center.  So happy to receive the beautiful pictures of Rachel and Sutton! It is always a pleasure to work with Molly Joseph Photography.

It was such an honor to be Stephanie and Josh's official wedding planners. They came from North Carolina and knew exactly what they wanted: a beautiful southern wedding. Colors were light blue, yellow, and orange, which were perfect for summer time. The venue picked was the Creek Club at I'On, which has great marsh and water views, beautiful trees, a spacious ballroom, and porch. They were one of the sweetest couples we have ever worked and being part of such special day was a reward to us. Congratulations Josh and Stephanie!

I absolutely love all the beautiful venues Charleston has to offer but Magnolia Plantations and Gardens is one of  my favorites.
When Cirley and Tomasz first contact us, about four months before their wedding, they did not have the date, venue, or any vendors booked yet. They were confused about the planning process and how to begin. Cirley is from Brazil and Tomasz is from Poland. They wanted the beautiful plantation wedding and to incorporate some of their traditions. The Conservatory at Magnolia Plantation just sounded the perfect venue considering the number of guests, season of the year, and their vision.
As part of our package, we made suggestions of vendors, designed a floor plan, created a timeline, and made styling suggestions. Their wedding day was perfect. The pictures by Richard Bell Photography reflects how beautiful their big day was.

What a fun couple Weatherly and Becker are! I met Weathelry and her mom a year before the wedding. Her beauty and great personality caused a great first impression and immediately I knew her wedding would be one of the funnest I have ever worked. Their religious ceremony happened at the First Baptist Church located in Downtown Charleston and reception for about 240 guests at Hibernian Hall. Drapes, flowers, and catering from Duvall Events, cake by Declare Cakes, hair and makeup by Lashes and Lace, Men of Distinction as the wedding band, and the beautiful work of Shannon Michele Photography, made this wedding a one to not forget! Wishing lots of love and happiness to this awesome couple!
