Although outdoor weddings are amazing they have limitations. Allergies, bugs, and so many other obstacles get in the way of a perfect outdoor wedding. Here are some ideas that will help keep the big day going smoothly & your guests comfortable. Allergy medicine:
Regardless of if you or your fiancé have allergies it’s a good idea to stock on some over-the-counter allergy medication. Then guests with an allergy outbreak will be able to enjoy the wedding instead of be under the weather all day. Dress Code: It is always a good idea to state the dress code on invitations or save the dates but an extra step should be taken for outdoor weddings. Make sure to let guests know if heels will be a problem at the venue. I have seen many people stumble, even fall trying to navigate an outdoor hilly wedding. Although some people may be able to shake it off others may find it humiliating. If heels are not a good idea for the wedding venue, suggest wedges or flats. Programs: Programs turned into fans are one of my favorite things I have seen on Pinterest. Programs are usually discarded after the ceremony but turning them into fans makes them more useful through out the day. Blankets or Heaters: When evening comes the weather can turn from warm and beautiful to chilly and uncomfortable. Instead of guests becoming cold and leaving, rent some heaters (either from the venue or a rental company) and bring along a blankets. Not only will your guests be warm at night but they will be more apt to stay late dancing.
